About

Our History

Colombia is a place of culinary wonders. The country’s diverse topographies allow for the cultivation of a plethora of crops giving Colombian chefs plenty of ingredients to fuse together into the exquisite plates Colombians are blessed to have. Originating from Bogotá, On Charcoal’s owners and chefs cook for the sole purpose of sharing Colombia’s culinary culture with Philadelphia as well as paying respect to the generations that passed down the knowledge to do so.

Our Food

On Charcoal aims to show that diversity by offering plates from the different regions of Colombia. In our menu you will find beef stew, stuffed arepas, Colombian corn cakes, empanadas, Ajiaco, white corn soup, and Bandeja Paisa.

Our Vision

Located in the bustling Castor corridor in northeast Philadelphia, On Charcoal aims to add a new and unique flavor to this already culturally diverse area. Additionally our goal is to excel in the customer experience by examining customer needs and utilizing technology. We provide delivery, outside dining, mobile wallet payments such as ApplePay and GooglePay, 3rd party deliveries through Doordash or Grubhub, and our own online ordering platform. Most importantly, we will continue to focus on providing new plates that feel authentic and homegrown.
